About Jacquie

For more than thirty years, I’ve been creating handcrafted pottery from my Nottinghamshire studio.

I’m entirely self-taught — practice, practice, practice, a fair amount of trial and error, and quite a lot of YouTube! I’m very grateful to all the generous content creators who have taught and inspired me along the way.

Every piece begins as a lump of clay, either thrown on the wheel or shaped by hand, and is then formed, inscribed and glazed entirely by me. No two pieces are quite the same, and that’s part of what I love about handmade pottery.

My Christian faith has inspired my work since 1990. My hope is that each piece quietly brings a little beauty and encouragement into everyday life, along with a reminder of God’s love.

Alongside ceramics, I also enjoy painting in acrylics and oils, inspired, as always, by the beauty of creation.
